Beane's Birds

__________________________________________________________

The birds, dogs and I relocated from California to Iowa three years ago.  The birds have done very well.

These are the birds I brought with me:

  1. African greys
  2. Goffin's cockatoos
  3. Yellow Nape Amazons
  4. Double Yellowhead Amazons
  5. Orange Wing Amazons
  6. Lilac Crown Amazons
  7. Mexican Redhead Amazons
  8. Senegals
  9. Wagler's Conures
  10. Green Cheek Conures

I discovered that I really missed my cockatiels, so my friend Kenny shipped me the ones I had left with him.  They went right to work and have really helped pay the bills.

The greys, Goffin's and green cheek conures have been fabulous producers since we moved, and the Senegals are starting to relax and give me a few babies.  As usual, the Amazons are the stubborn breeders, but I try to stay optimistic.  Bird breeding is always an adventure, isn't it?

I have a two terrific customers in Omaha: Pets R Us and Petland.

Congratulations to the new Petland which just opened in Jordan Creek in West Des Moines.  I hope to be selling to this new store in the near future.

I have shipped to my good old customers on both coasts, so I'm still in the game and really appreciate the stores that continue to buy my birds, no matter where I live.

The setup here is quite different.  I've had to learn about air cleaners, humidifiers and full spectrum lights.  I still have a lot more to learn, but that keeps me interested in my work.
